Liga Ascenso is second-highest football league in Mexico, represented by 15 clubs. This football division is formed during 1994 year after changes made in Mexican football league system. Teams are ranked in table according to points they won during the season. At the end of the season first club in table is promoted to highest football league in Mexico named Liga MX. Last club in the table is demoted to lower football division and the spot is taken by winner of lower division.
