Серия Б

This is second-highest football division in Italy, and it`s built by 19 professional football clubs. The season is divided in two parts. In 1st part every club play 2 matches (“home” and ”away”) against every other club from Serie B for total of 36 matches per season. After this top 2 teams from end-season table are promoted to Serie A, and the teams from 3rd to 8th place are playing play-off rounds and the winner takes last spot for Serie A. Last 3 clubs from end-season table are directly relegated to lower division named Serie C and the other two clubs are playing play-out round to determine who will be 4th club relegated in Serie C.
